Windows Mobile Device Center: Key Updates

Windows Mobile Device Center is a user-friendly application that provides you with an efficient business-data synchronization platform to sync information between your computer and Windows Mobile 2003 (or later) powered devices. Windows Mobile Device Center helps you:

• Set up new partnerships and synchronize content with your Windows Mobile 2003 (or later) powered devices.
• Manage pictures, audio and video files, music, pictures and video with Windows Mobile powered devices (Windows Mobile 2003 or later).
• Sync data such as documents, e-mails, contacts, and calendar appointments that are critical for your business between your computer and your Windows Mobile powered device.
  

The Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 can be installed only on a Windows Vista computer and it completely supports devices with Windows Mobile 2003 or later. The following are some of the key updates included in this application.

• Automatically configures your Windows Mobile 6 device to open documents and files protected by Information Rights Management (IRM).
• Sets up your device to sync e-mails formatted in HTML.
• Acquires certificates via the computer, your device connects to.
• Enables easy data connections, when your device is connected to the computer.
• Enables you to connect devices without having to provide the device-lock PIN every time you connect.
• On Smartphones, supports sync on both touch screen and non-touch screen devices.
