Method 4: Check Windows Installer Startup Type

You may encounter Windows Installer problems if the Windows Installer on your system is disabled. To check this and change its startup type, perform the following tasks:

1. Open Start menu, select Run, type services.msc and then click the OK button.
2. In the Services window, search for and double-click on the Windows Installer service.
3. On the General tab of the properties dialog box that opens, check the option that is selected in the Startup type: list.
4. If the setting is Disabled, change it to Manual.
