Method 10: Fresh Installation Packet
If none of the methods discussed above enable you to resolve the error and you still encounter the following error message, then you need to create a fresh installation packet using the InstallShield tool.
“Error 1628: Failed to complete script based install.”
To create a fresh installation packet using the InstallShield tool, disable the Cache installation on local machine option when the installation packet creates the process.
