Windows Help Windows Installer is a Microsoft Windows engine that controls the installation, maintenance, and removal of software on a Windows computer. The required information and the installation files are usually packaged in installation packages structured as OLE Structured Storage Files. These files are commonly known as "MSI files" because their default file name extension is .msi.

"The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed"
"Windows Installer Service couldn't be started"

  • MSI package fails to install on your computer.
  • The Windows Installer service is disabled on your computer.
